SRS®-STA starts from the same 60% soybean oil, 5.5% quick-release, nutrient and Vitamin B12 base as SRS®-SD, with a nonionic emulsifier and 0.6 µm droplet. What sets it apart is a proprietary shear-thinning agent that lowers the substrate's viscosity under injection pressure.
That property matters most in heterogeneous formations, where a conventional emulsion favors the most permeable layer and bypasses the rest. The shear-thinning behavior pushes SRS®-STA into both the permeable and less-permeable layers during injection, improving distribution across a mixed-geology treatment zone.
Benefits
- Shear-thinning agent improves distribution into both permeable and less-permeable layers
- Suited to heterogeneous formations where a standard emulsion would channel through one layer
- Same 60% soybean oil, nutrient and Vitamin B12 package as SRS®-SD
- Ships injection-ready; USDA BioPreferred certified at 98% biobased content
