Surfactant Enhanced Remediation Reagents

Biodegradable surfactants that reduce interfacial tension and mobilize heavier hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents, with a lab screening test to select the right formulation.

Terra Systems' surfactant-enhanced solutions improve contaminant availability and increase treatment effectiveness in challenging subsurface conditions. Surfactants reduce interfacial tension between water and contaminants, releasing them from soil surfaces and forming micelles that transfer contaminants into the aqueous phase. This improves the performance of extraction, in situ chemical oxidation, and bioremediation systems.

E-Mulse 3 and E-Mulse 10 are distributed exclusively by Terra Systems on behalf of EthicalChem.

At a glance

  • Site-specific selection

A surfactant screening test on your own site soil identifies the most effective formulation before field application.

  • Works across technologies

Improves desorption and availability ahead of extraction, ISCO, or bioremediation.
