SRS®-PRB blends 125 µm sulfidated micro-scale zero-valent iron into the SRS® emulsified vegetable oil base, combining the sustained biological treatment of the EVO substrate with the rapid abiotic reduction of ZVI, specifically formulated for construction of a permeable reactive barrier at a property boundary or plume transect.
The questionnaire features for SRS®-PRB call for a large-droplet EVO, a charged (anionic) surfactant, quick-release substrate, organic and inorganic nutrients, and Vitamin B12, the same large-droplet-for-retention logic as SRS®-FRL, with ZVI added for the barrier's abiotic reaction pathway.
Benefits
- Combines sustained biological treatment with rapid ZVI-driven abiotic reduction in one barrier
- ZVI loading selectable at 5%, 10%, 15% or 20%
- Large-droplet, anionic-emulsifier formulation maximizes retention at the barrier location
- Organic and inorganic nutrients and Vitamin B12 included to support the biological pathway
