Dehalobacter (MDB-1)
TSI-MDB1®
Dehalobacter MDB-1 culture for anaerobic treatment of carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and methylene chloride.
TSI-MDB1® is a Dehalobacter (MDB-1) bioaugmentation culture formulated for chlorinated-methane plumes: carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and methylene chloride. It is added where native Dehalobacter capable of this specific degradation pathway is absent or under-represented.
Like the other TSI® cultures, it is intended to work alongside a carbon substrate that first establishes and sustains the reducing conditions the organisms need.
Benefits
- Targets carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and methylene chloride
- Restarts a stalled chlorinated-methane dechlorination pathway
- Works alongside Terra Systems’ SRS® or QRS™ carbon substrates
