Blended culture
TSI-DC®/TSI-TCA®
50/50 blend of TSI-DC and TSI-TCA for sites with mixed chlorinated ethenes and ethanes.
This 50/50 blend combines TSI-DC® and TSI-TCA®, each contributing more than 5×10¹⁰ cells per liter, for sites with mixed chlorinated-ethene and chlorinated-ethane contamination that a single culture would not fully address. The Dehalococcoides fraction dechlorinates PCE and TCE to ethene; the Dehalobacter fraction biodegrades 1,1,1-trichloroethane to 1,1-dichloroethene, 1,1-dichloroethane and chloroethane.
Like the individual cultures, the blend works with any commonly used electron donor, is not genetically modified, and ships overnight in sealed stainless-steel containers.
Benefits
- Covers mixed chlorinated-ethene and chlorinated-ethane plumes with one bioaugmentation product
- Contains greater than 5×10¹⁰ Dehalococcoides and greater than 5×10¹⁰ Dehalobacter cells per liter
- Works with any commonly used electron donor
- Ships overnight in sealed stainless-steel containers
