QRS™-SL is an injection-ready, 60% sodium lactate substrate: an inexpensive, soluble, food-grade carbon source that rapidly generates reducing conditions and provides the carbon and hydrogen native or introduced Dehalococcoides need to dechlorinate PCE and TCE to ethene and ethane.
Its miscibility in water and low viscosity carry it with the groundwater, enhancing radius of influence and reducing the number of injection points a design needs. It arrives as a homogenous, injection-ready substrate, avoiding field-mixing labor and inconsistency.
Benefits
- 60% sodium lactate, one of the most efficient electron donors available
- Inexpensive, soluble, 100% biobased food-grade substrate
- Low viscosity and high solubility enhance radius of influence per injection point
- Arrives homogenous and injection-ready, avoiding field-mixing labor
